ID/Title: Intentions of Marshal Foch
Date: December 1918
Creator: Sisters of Mercy, St. John’s & St. Elizabeth’s, London
Description: Along with the rest of the British public, the Sisters of Mercy must have felt jubilation after the Armistice of 1918. When earlier they had prayed for peace, now prayer was central to their Thanksgiving. The Sisters at St John’s and St Elizabeth’s recognised the role of Marshal Foch in the Allied victory by praying for his intentions.
